Dr. Naadiya C. Hopkins has established herself as a trailblazing force in higher education. Her confidence, expertise and resolute commitment to student success position her as a transformative leader. Dr. Hopkins is poised to elevate the student experience, redefining the landscape of student engagement and leadership within the university community. Her legacy is one of empowerment, inclusivity, and a steadfast dedication to shaping the future leaders of tomorrow.

Currently serving as Assistant Vice Chancellor of Student Engagement and Student Leadership at Fayetteville State University (FSU), Dr. Hopkins provides senior-level management, leadership, and vision in the division and within the Student Life portfolio at the university. With an illustrious career spanning nearly a decade in the industry, Dr. Hopkins has left an indelible mark on the field, displaying unwavering commitment and leadership in various capacities.

Dr. Hopkins has been a catalyst for transformative experiences in higher education. Her journey began with roles in Residence Life, Career Services, and Greek Affairs, showcasing her versatility and depth of expertise. Her impact extends beyond the traditional academic realm, having contributed significantly as a STEM educator at the K-12 level, demonstrating a commitment to education at all levels.

Dr. Hopkins brings a unique perspective, understanding the intricacies of student engagement and possessing the insight to create experiences that resonate with students, fostering a lifelong commitment.​

Joining FSU's Division of Student Affairs team in 2016, Dr. Hopkins ascended to Director of Student Leadership Development and Special Projects, where she spearheaded innovative initiatives. Under her guidance, over 75 clubs and organizations flourished, and she pioneered the FSU Leadership Academy, which provides students with career training and leadership development opportunities.

Dr. Hopkins's strategic vision and collaborative spirit have been pivotal in enhancing the student co-curricular and extracurricular experience at Fayetteville State. Her program oversight has included the coordination of all New Student Orientation and co-curricular programming for the FSU-LEAP summer bridge program (now known as Bronco Boost), impacting hundreds of students annually. Her efforts align seamlessly with the university's mission and the division's core competencies.

Dr. Hopkins has launched groundbreaking initiatives like Parent and Family Programs and the iLead1867 Podcast. The iLead1867 campus leadership podcast focuses on topics that help students gain insight on various skill sets. Both ventures, born from Dr. Hopkins' visionary mindset, provide avenues for parents, family members, and students to engage with critical topics and contribute to a vibrant and inclusive campus community.

Dr. Hopkins holds a dual Bachelor of Science degree in biology and biology education, a Master's in higher education and student personnel, and a doctoral degree in educational leadership. Her research, presented at esteemed conferences, contributes to the scholarly discourse, showcasing her commitment to advancing knowledge in the field.
